| And today's temperature is... |
It would appear that in my excitement for my travels elsewhere- I have neglected to post any information about my own home- Alaska.
I've been living in Alaska for nearly six years now- longer than any place ever, as I also spent a large chunk of my childhood here in the interior.
It is beautiful country- unforgiving winters; warm, sunny (and I mean LOTS of sun, sunny) summers.
Living in the interior- it is not uncommon to see winter temperatures of -40F. This winter I had the pleasure of experiencing -55F, and the freezing of my car into one huge block of ice. Talk about the ultimate cabin fever... |
| | Summers afford the opportunity for numerous road trips to Anchorage- something that I take advantage of whenever I have the time off from work!
A six hour drive- the last trip offered up 2 moose, one dall sheep, and too many mosquitos to count.
Always fun! |
