"Somewhere between Europe and North America, Freehold is located"
Freehold, NJ is one of those interesting places. It is a famous city which has reached space limits, and is the "largest little city" in NJ. Technically, Freehold is 2 seperate municipalities, Freehold Burough and Freehold Twp., together both making up Freehold City. The downtown area has numerous shops and restaurants, however some areas just outside of downtown aren't too desireable. The Freehold Raceway Mall is only a mile outside of downtown, and Freehold itself sprawls out for miles.
Freehold is one of the nation's oldest cities, with numerous monuments and landmarks which can be recognized by people all over the country.
Freehold serves as the county seat for Monmouth County (pop. 650,000), and contains many government offices. |
