In April 2005 Gary, myself and our friends Sarah and Jon headed off for a break in Goa.
Goa is India's smallest state and is situated on the west coast and a ten and a half hour flight from the UK. |
|  | Goa was ruled by the Portugese until 1961 and this influence is apparent in much of the architecture especially in the capital Panjim (Panaji). |
Most people visit Goa for the weather (it was 35 degrees and above all the time we were there) and the beaches, but it is worth moving off the beach-there is a lot to see in Goa and it would be a shame not to see some of the local sights and life.
We had a great time in Goa, the people are friendly and the food is great and I would recommend it to any as a great introduction to India. | | |
