When the Windy City becomes the Winter City Heavy snowfall, low-hanging clouds, freezing cold - that is how I experienced Chicago in late November 2002. Just one thing was missing: The wind. Even on a cold winter day there was almost no wind in the city known as the Windy City. Lucky me...
But even with that winter weather I had a great time in Chicago - and I did lots of sightseeing and walked outside. Well, actually the snowfall was even kind of cool. The whole winter atmosphere was great. Especially when it got dark and all the Christmas lights were switched on. In combination with the falling snow it looked just wonderful. |
Unfortunately I only spent just one night in Chicago, because I was traveling from Tennessee to Wyoming and I did not have the time to get to know the city better. But I had a great guide. VT-member mgard27 showed me around and gave me some great advises. Thanks Melissa! |
