| Walking on top of and in the Underground |
Atlanta is one of the cleanest major cities in the US. People told me that the city was renovated and cleaned for the 1996 Olympic Games. A nice attraction is Atlanta Underground, a shopping mall and club/bar row below street level. Well, actually the Underground was the real, original street level, but then they put a roof, houses and streets on top and the Underground is like a couple of streets in the basement, now.
The upper photo was taken on the new street level on top of the Underground and the lower photo is from Underground.
I was in Atlanta on a backpack trip with Greyhound busses and three years later I had a lay-over at Atlanta Hartsfield Airport, and then again when I arrived at Hartsfield Airport from Germany to get on a road trip. |
