Effingham is a beautiful City of friendly people (about 600) There is lots to do. In the summer you can watch grass grow. You can hang around Calvins store or the Coop. The best thing to do is to play Katheryn Lee a game of dominos (she might let you win if you are nice.
If you need a place to stay try Roger & Martha Fredricks Red Roof House. It has a warm friendly atmosphere. She is a good cook, but oif you want to go out you can get a pizza or sandwhich at Calvins or a nice Tenderloin Sandwhich at the Last Call Bar.
Effingham is a quiet town except late in Aug. when the County Fair comes to town.
