Away From The Crowds

This is not really about the barrio or barangay called Uacon in the town of Candelaria Zambales but rather about a little white sanded island called Potipot some 5 minutes offshore!

Heard a few good reviews about this little island and off we went to check it out! This is a respite from the usual beaches/resorts in the country that usually bustles with humanity during weekends and holidays.

Potipot Island is just an island no more, no less :) There are no resorts nor modern fortifications. All you can find is a pair of ladies in a makeshift open-type hut and they sell halo-halo. Yumm! They do have monobloc chairs and tables that can be rented if you really need to!
