Go to Snowdonia Parc Free House, Brewpub & Campsite's web page and you get a description like: next door to Snowdon and surroundings, close to pubs, dream views, etc..

My experience is: The farthest campsite from Snowdon in the area, close to a pub? IT's at THE END OF THE PUBS CAR PARC!! Yes, lovely car park lights and noise in the night..

Dream views? Yeah..as long as you stare at the mountains..turn your shoulders a bit and you've got road or pub car parc or train...

Plus, it's madly expensive..

And, to make things just "perfect" it's managed by the pub which don't seem to always have time for lowly campers..

Unique Qualities: You don't notice these things when your drunk later at night..

Oh..and the people seemed unfriendly too, which is a bit odd at campsites, I find..

A really nice campsite at the bottom of one of the 7 wonders of Wales and a great place for hikers!

Unique Qualities: Though not the biggest, it's very cozy and nobody steps on each other's toes.

The sound of the waterfall and the stream passing by the tents was so nice!

Also, they had fire baskets so we can safely make campfire!

The only down side (for ladies) is that there is no access to toilets at night and that there is no showers.

BUT, it's really nice and cheap..so ladies, bear with it for the weekend! ;)

The temperature was horrible.. It was raining and raining and raining...BUT! We still had a great time!

First and foremost (if you have a wife or girls...) SHOWERS AND TOILETS!
They are spotless, beautyfull clean...they make some hotel bathrooms look like slums. They also have dryers and clothe drying machines, indoor kitchens to wash your dishes, EVERYTHING you might need to make your stay comfortable!
AND..they seem to wash EVERYTHING daily! The kitchen, the toilets..it's always spotless!

NOW, the interesting bit..

The campsite is located amongst the trees which gives it a real "adventure feel" for those who would like to camp out there in the bush. There is ample enough space and quite a variety of lots. Some secluded up in the hill, others where you share space with Caravans, some caravan only spaces and, finally, some tent only spaces. The price was also fair when you compare it to the other campsites in the region and what kind of amenities they offer.

ANother thing.. beause the site is so big, kids cvan play and run freely around without fear that they might disturb someone.

A perfect place to stay at if you want a base for local tourism in Harlech, Portmeirion and the rest of Snowdonia or simply to enjoy a nice weekend "out there".
