I went to Bangkok for a 4-day meeting and my boss (and friend) and I decided to take an extra few days off! We flew straight up to Chiang Mai and drove 70 kms north to Chiang Dao. I loved it! This picture is from a flower garden in a nearby national park...more to come....

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:Beautiful paradise - few tourists...
  • Cons:Don't go there during the rainy season unless you like rain!
  • In a nutshell:Chiang Dao - worth leaving Chiang Mai for!
