Dona Juarra: great mexican food, restaurant 1

Restaurant Name: Dona Juarra
Dona Juarra is right now one of the most popular restaurants for the young-ish hip crowd... so yes, make reservations many days in advance as it's always packed. The restaurant decor is lovely and very colourful, and Latin American music is played constantly. The food is really delicious: quesadillas, tortillas, fajitas... I'm not sure I saw chili-con-carne though.
Favorite Dish: One of their specialities is a cactus quesadilla - my friends tried it and found it quite tasteful. Drinking-wise...you simply have to taste their margaritas...they are really to die for

Restaurant Name: alegria's
Mh a small place - a bit hip and loud for my taste maybe - in one of the backstreets of Lugano - but the food is delicious - no it's heavenly! Reservations are mandatory
Favorite Dish: fajitas with gambas... delicious... served with rice and black beans... however the top of the top was the dessert: mango pancakes to die for... with tons of whipped cream!

king coconut: great indian food

Restaurant Name: king coconut
It's a new entry on the local dining scene... the food is very good - both Sri Lankan and Indian. There's an all-you-can-eat buffet for 39 Swiss francs and Friday and Saturday evening which is really good if you want to taste several dishes.
Favorite Dish: When I last went there I tried some really hot king prawns and a slightly less hot chicken.... then 2 sorts of really good rice (listen to the owner and add coconut mixed with paprika on top of it), 2 different sorts of Indian bread (naan and chappati) and plenty of wonderful veggies... including manioca... which I had never atsted before, and which I fell in love with... there was a strange rice pudding for dessert, quite good in fact. And, to finish it all, not very Indian coffee... and yet, one of the best cups of coffee in town.
