Nightlife Spot: night bazaar
I have been to two night bazaars, one in the Chiang Mai and the other in Chiang Rai. In Chiang Mai it is called Night Bazaar, and it is huge: you really can find everything, especially crowds of tourist, fabrics and occasionally tailors that can make u custom made clothes like u want them (about 800 baht including the silk).

In Chiang Rai the market is much smaller and less touristy than its larger counterpart in Chiang Mai - meaning it's much harder to bargain - prices are quite fair anyway. There are three stages with shows of traditional dance and music - for free but not very good - and a huge food court and market. Yuu just buy something from a food stall and then go sit down at one of the many tables

'Wat To Phae' is not as listed in http://www.indexmundi.com/zp/th/24640.htm (N18.80 E97.91), nor does it match my experience: I live around here & wat is 5km SW / Khun Yuam. Mae Hong Son is ~45km N. I can send you photos if you pass me your email address. | volopolo Wed Oct 31, 2007 12:53 UTC
