Harding: Harding Hotel, in Dublin's oldest lane
  • Tip Rating:
  • Right in the cente o Dublin but quiet at the same time, since it's located in a back lane - which turns out to be Dublin's oldest lane. It's a really nice friendly hotel with lots of pine wood and a fun pub on the premises.

Unique Qualities: I suggest the Harding Hotel because it is run by friends. Hence I'm using their website photo without permission, knowing the manageress (Ellen) would surely forgive me

  • An old red-bricks building, victorian i think, very clean and bright. Most rooms have en-suite facilities - all (dorms included) have fresh linens, towels, soap, and duvets and pillows. A "luxurious" hostel by all means

Unique Qualities: A really friendly atmosphere, a great location... and special rates for long-term guests! It's also popular with irish people, long-term stayers, orpeopel in town for the weekend

There seems to be some very nice walks outside Dublin. I hope to visit both Howth and Killiney when I go to Dublin.

*sigh!* Ahhhhh, the Big Smoke... I can't wait to go back in September and sample a real Guinness (or 2, or 3) again in the pubs I know so well :-)
