laguna restaurant: dining above a swimming pool

A large nice restaurant with long tables above a swimming pool, but you would not notice unless someone told you about it. A very warm place with friendly people - a middle or upper class restaurant, I would guess - simply by judging the other people there: fancy dresses, few hijabs, mixed groups of young people. Interesting!

Favorite Dish: those mezzes... those wonderful mezzes... I liked them nearly all... but was mostly impressed with the strange cheese: sour in taste, and shapes like wool! Delicious!

al mir restaurant: a fancy restaurant in a wonderful location

A wonderful restaurant... the correct adjective to describe it is in between historical and lavish! It's in a wonderful old house, in a suggestive area of Aleppo, the al.djeida area. Unfortunately it was closed for lunch when i discovered it, but I got a tour of the house... and was truly impressed!

Favorite Dish: Syrian food - which is simply excellent
