Moevenpick Tower and Suites: a cosy comfortable hotel Movenpick Hotel Doha Review

We chose this 26-storey tower hotel for the price - there was a special offer for 600 rials - which was more or less the same price as some 3 stars hotel in the centre. I would not normally choose a 5 stars hotel but the price was too tempting.

Moevenpick Tower and Suites is located at the entrance to West Bay, so it's not very central but the area is fairly quiet and there's not a lot of traffic. There are plenty of building sites in the area but insulation is excelent and you won't hear any noise.

Unique Qualities: The room we had, on the 10th floor, was very spacious and clean - it even had a fully furnished kitchenette... the bed was ultra-comfortable and the room had high-speed Internet access. There's also round-the-lock room service.

The hotel hasa cafeteria and two restaurants, wok me and animato - where breakfast is served at an extra charge. As it is quite expensive, I would not recommend it, unless you are used to eating large portions of food in the morning. For a simple coffee and croissant the cafeteria in the hall is more than sufficient and better value. We did not eat in the retaurants so I can't comment on that - all I know is that they are alcohol-free.

In case you want to kick back a little, or if it gets a bit cold (that's our case) on the 26th floor there's an indoor swimming pool and a health and wellness centre: while the swimming-pool is mixed, note that the wellness centre (steambath, sauna, whirlpool) has separate locations for men and women. In case you are interested there's also four massage rooms and a beauty centre with acceptable prices. We saw that massages are offered at 200 rials.
