    • Entrancy tickets at Petra are not very cheap - but they are worth every penny or cent you spend. Entering Petra is like entering through wonderland. As far as I know there are three types of tickets: for 1 day, for 2 days and for 3 days. The official entrance fee, in 2002, was of 21 Jordanian dinars for one day. However, due to the lack of visitors, they only asjed for 11 Jordanian dinars. The price sort of incudes a horback ride to the entrance of the siq, but the people renting them expect obviously a tip. Sidenote: contrary to popular belief, it's not allowed to go by horse through the siq.
