  Hi Helga. Thanks to your tips, I finally remembered the name of iron poles of Amsterdam. I noticed one of them in Kadikoy-Istanbul in November and I am expecting to solve the mystery someday. I really missed that beautiful city.

  Hi Helga I am a newie in VT. I tend to agree with your comment of Amsterdam, but loved the the Dutch countryside. Also I liked the Dutch people they are not so narrow minded.

  Very surprised you didn't really enjoy Amsterdam - I'm not a "coffee-shop' tourist, nor a "see-the-sights" person, but I found Amsterdam a great place - mayhaps that's because I'm a village person. Good page tho'.

  excellent account for Amsterdam, the beautiful City it is...and yes I agree, the Amsterdammerkes are a lifeline for Pedestrian, now, why are they disappearing, funny thing! Happy New Year Helga!
