Off road in Kos
Hire a quad and go off road in the mountains. We particulary enjoyed the road beyond Paleo Pyli. Go further up the hill and enjoy the flora, sheeps and wonderful views.

Kastri
This is definitely an off the beaten path. This small rocky island lies in front of the church ruin of Ayios Stefanos in Kefalos. It is known as Kastri and there is a tiny monastery dedicated to Ayios Antonios. You can only reach it by wading through the shallow water.
