Ekeren lies north of Antwerp and is not really a touristic place but when you happen to be in the neighbourhood and you enjoy walking in nature, than 'Oude Landen' is the place to go.

I lived in Bremboslei for 6 years and during that time I found the people of Ekeren to be extremely friendly - its good to see the Kastell loking so good

Hi Helga, are you saying this peaceful Put van Ekeren pound is manmade & has those different fishes and crawfish? Did I get it right ? I'd be impressed if it's manmade.

'Kasteel Veltwijck' ziet er heel mooi uit en een ideaal plekje om op een zomerse dag eens langs te gaan. Ben er nog nooit geweest. leuk.

Such a pretty spot for walking amongst nature. The castle and grounds are lovely and your t'logues are beautiful. Really lovely photos Helga.. and love your animals too on your homepage:-)

A very nice destination, I see. Kasteel Veltwijck looks amazing - is it close to the public (interiors)?
