M E C H E L E N is a lovely typical Flemish city , which is situated half-way between Antwerp and Brussels.
It is one of those off the beaten cities, not well-known by tourist that really deserves some attention.
It has some beautiful buildings like the St. Rumbold's Cathedral, the former Palace of Margaret of Austria, the Town Hall, and several beautiful houses and city castles. It is also a great place for shopping.

Mechelen looks really great. I've to agree with you, it deserves more tourists attention. The picture of the market place is splendid. I thought it's a painting. |
