Facts for the visitor

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: The hot, wet season is May to October, with June to September the hottest and wettest months of all. Wear light cotton. In the mountainous interior you'll need warmer clothng. Don't forget a hat and sunglasses.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: It's always a good idea to travel with a small first-aid kit. Some of the items that should be included are: adhesive bandages, a sterilised gauze bandage, elastic bandage, cotton wool, thermometer, tweezers, scissors, antiseptic, burn cream, insect repellent containing DEET and multivitamins.

Photo Equipment: According to Mexican laws you are allowed to bring in no more than one still camera and one camcorder with 12 rolls of film for each.
A wide-angle lens is useful for the shots of magnificent landscapes and coastline.

Miscellaneous: Bring a valid passport and carry a Mexican government tourist card, or a copy therof, at all times
