"One of the oldest towns in Spain" Ronda by Helga67

R O N D A is located in the mountains of Serranía de Ronda, some 115 kms from Málaga. It is one of the most visited towns in Andalucia.
It is unique because the town is split into two parts by El Tajo, a 100 m-deep gorge. On one side is the old Moorish town and on the other side is El Mercadillo, the new town. The two parts are linked by an impressive bridge "Puente Nuevo" (New Bridge).

We loved Ronda and stayed there in a hotel overlooking the gorge. It was excellent. Your photographs are spectacular, Helga.
lovely pics as usual Helga, now I def want to go back and walk down to the gorge and spent more time in the old town. Surprised Steve hasn't heard of this place
Nice page, great pics as usual. I'd never heard of Ronda before.
Helga, fabulous new page with brilliant photos of this Andalusian gem. Brings back memories of my daytrip from Marbella to Rhonda in May 2006. Keep up the good work ... :-)
Interesting Reading, Helga. I will be in Ronda 25th June and I am really looking forward to seeing the sights you saw.
You have too many tips to read all of them, Helga. :-) But Ronda (never heard of it before) is on my list now.
