This spacious overwater restaurant has a fantastic view of Cook's Bay and the peaked mountains. Service is very friendly and fish are waiting in the lagoon for a piece of bread. In the evening, you will have a wonderful sunset during dinner.

Favorite Dish: There is a big selection of fresh salads, hamburgers, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, seafood, fish, meat and my favourite dish "Poisson cru à la Tahitienne".

  • Restaurant Name: Poisson cru

Favorite Dish: My favourite dish on the island is Poisson cru à la Tahitienne.

It's raw tuna or mahi mahi marinated in lemon juice and coconut milk, with vegetables. You can have it as an appetizer or for lunch.

  • If you don't want to spend too much money on food, try out "Les roulottes". These are mobile diners usually found near the main road, where you can order a good and cheap meal (depending on what that roulotte is selling).

  • Look at those yummy pineapples, grapefruit, papaya and coconuts. For me it was no problem at all to just have this for breakfast or lunch. It tastes so much better as at home.

Hey Helga, your beautiful photos make me impatient to get to Moorea. Was your 4x4 tour a half or full day tour? Best wishes, Sissi
