I'm glad that since I've found VT, I've been able to virtual travel the world, just a few clicks away, sharing with each other our travel experiences, interests and hobbies.

Ever since my childhood, I'd found that reading is a more natural activity for me than sports. I fondly remember during my school days those travel books and magazines, motivated me to study harder, hopefully it would equip me for an ideal job to support my dreams and my goals. While visiting your homepages and travel pages, browsing through your stories, tips and photos would definitely make me dream about setting a new goal to travel and explore more of this world.

Thank you VT for bringing the world to me and Thank you Vt-ers for the contributions of your impressive stories, tips, pictures and invaluable time to make VT a fantastic global village's community with a common interest of travelling.

My husband and I have been married for 18 years. Both of us are busy working parents with 4 children, so life is a bit busy for us. Meng works as a planner in a mining company and I work in a accounts section with the Commonwealth Government.

Usually I'd drive my kids to school before headed to work, after work I'd busy in prepare meal or do some gardening, at night time I'd make sure the kids do their homework or at least spend sometime on books.

Quite often after work or during the weekend, we would head to a beach and have a picnic or bbq there. If not then we'd take the kids to library, music lessons, swimming pool, do some rock climbing or snorkling etc...etc.....

(If only the following activities can be classified as nightlife:-)) Our nightlife is usually social gathering with family and friends by taking turns in organizing a backyard BBQ. If lucky enough we'd have the catch of the day for barbeque or steam boat at our backyards under the twinkling stars and enjoy the night sky. Once in a while we choose to go to a restaurant to have some good food and wine.

We have a satellite disk at home which receives signals from so many channels from all over the world until don't know which one to choose. Sometime I do watch foreign language program whenever there is an interesting programe with a subtitle that I can understand.

My favourite channels are as follow:
Aussie TV : GWN / ABC / SBS / WIN
Aisan TV : Asia-Plus / Phoenix / CETV
Other: Discovery Channel

The travel programs that I like to watch on t.v are Aussie's telly of Getaway, The great outdoors and a few from Asia-Plus and CETV.

Oh... there are so much things to do here, you need to be very energetic to join in those Iron men, raft racing, kayaking competitions.

All sort of sports: criket, soccer, badminton, golf, swimming, gym, body combat etc.

Other activities and celebration: Workshops run by various community club and association. Territory week, Chinese New Year, Hari Raya Puasa, Christmas celebration and the list is go on.

Who said life on a tropical island is laid back and relax :-)

We try our best to let our children to have a most memorable childhood. We enjoy spending and sharing every precious moment with them. Listen to them telling stories and jokes, singing their beloved nursery rhymes and songs. You may find some other pleasant travel and life prospects through a child's eyes.

We haven't really done much travelling yet. However, we managed to have a travel once a year to neighbouring countries. Our travels are usually family travels so there's no partying and clubbing around. Anyway that's all right, because we have a lot of fun of going around with the children.

I have been a member of vt for nearly four now and enjoyed this website very much.

While on vt , I like to browse through members' homepage including their family photos and off course I also enjoyed the travel tips and pictures.

For those who have had visited my pages before, you may have noticed that I've deleted most of my travel pages. I'll redo them all over again when I'm ready.
