I lived in San Francisco for a year and a half. It is still "home" in many ways. It is perhaps the most european city in the US. Neighborhoods and ethnic communities creat a fantastic street life with some of the best restaurants and people watching one can find!! Where else can you experience beautiful victorian mansions, cable cars, wine country, the ocean, war demonstrations, and illegal gay weddings, all in one day!!
PS - take a jacket (yes a full jacket) whenever you visit. And please refrain from saying "caly", "San Fran", or the inexcusable "Frisco". Locals do NOT abbreviate. |
