Whoever has spent a 4. of november in Norway will understand that to organise cheers and jubilation was an uphill struggle as compared to the 17th of may) It started as a political holiday, but has developed into THE spring holdiday, and also a day for the observation of norwegian tribal rites and manners, from the Royal Guards turning out with band and marchers to the anti-racist '17th of may for everybody' free concert at Kuba by the Aker river.On the 16th the celebration literally kick off with the 16. may football games, having them at home eagely fought for by every club.
