Baden is about 30 mins by car from Vienna, to the South of the capital and houses Austria's finest, and Europe's largest (in terms of area) casino. It is also a spa town and is where a lot of Viennese come for "Kür". It is easy to reach from Vienna and along the way there are some very pleasant wine-growing villages.
- Pros:very close to Vienna and a pleasant change
- Cons:the locals can be very snobby
