My love affair with Austria really started here. From September 1997 to June 1998 I was an English language assistant at a school in Judenburg, and lived in the town for the duration of my stay. I found the town was ultimately a bit too small for me - as a 20 year old, there was little company in the 20-25 year old age group - all the students lived in Graz and anyone younger was likely to be a student of mine! Nevertheless as a base it was great - being on the mainline to Vienna and Carinthia and offering me full immersion into Austrian life. |

| pepples46 Sun Apr 24, 2005 09:30 UTC me too, to be honest, never heard of the place. thank god there is VT, great infos here! tks for sharing | globetrott Sun Apr 24, 2005 09:13 UTC This part of Austria is still missing on my map... |
