"A place I called my home!" Judenburg by morgenhund

Judenburg Travel Guide: 11 reviews and 14 photos

My love affair with Austria really started here.

From September 1997 to June 1998 I was an English language assistant at a school in Judenburg, and lived in the town for the duration of my stay. I found the town was ultimately a bit too small for me - as a 20 year old, there was little company in the 20-25 year old age group - all the students lived in Graz and anyone younger was likely to be a student of mine! Nevertheless as a base it was great - being on the mainline to Vienna and Carinthia and offering me full immersion into Austrian life.

Pros and Cons
  • Pros:quiet, lots of fresh air
  • Cons:not the most vibrant place to life
  • In a nutshell:a gateway to the Murtal and further afield.
