A place I called my home!

by morgenhund - last update: Apr 17, 2005

My love affair with Austria really started here.

From September 1997 to June 1998 I was an English language assistant at a school in Judenburg, and lived in the town for the duration of my stay. I found the town was ultimately a bit too small for me - as a 20 year old, there was little company in the 20-25 year old age group - all the students lived in Graz and anyone younger was likely to be a student of mine! Nevertheless as a base it was great - being on the mainline to Vienna and Carinthia and offering me full immersion into Austrian life.

Pros:"quiet, lots of fresh air"
Cons:"not the most vibrant place to life"
In A Nutshell:"a gateway to the Murtal and further afield."
