I went to Helsinki for a conference and was able to have a good look around the city - Helsinki is quite a compact place, with only about half a million population. I visited first time around in March 2004, when it was pretty cold still - apparently the summer months are pretty warm - and recommendable. I returned in September 2005 for another conference - this time I was lucky to enjoy the late summer sun and temperatures around 20°C.

    Good page! You're lucky to have business trips here. I've visited once in Summer, 2005, and was impressed with Helsinki and what else I saw of Finland!!

    Unfortunately Limón is closed (since mid-June). I liked the place as well! The owner is going to open a new restaurant called Olo in September in address Kasarmikatu 44. But I suppose it has totally different menu - still same friendly atmosphere I hope!

    Absolurely gorgeous tips on Helsinki - I loved the woman Statue of Esplanadi ....Geez Boose is damn expensive !!! How much is a pint - the quantity I mean, not the price
