"Cap de Formentor, a lonely beatiful place" Isla de Formentor by russian_yaz

An excellent place where to enjoy nature and the sea. In the northern point of the island this marvelous place, Cap de Formentor, will drive U nuts!

As usual, I made my weekend excursion and planed to go here because many people already told me that this was a gorgeus place... and it is...I spend here like 4 hours biking trough the mountains. After a long climb of about 5km I arrived tho the first point where U have a magnificent view of the sea and part of the cab. Here U have the choice of climb about 2 more kilometers up and get tho the highest point with a ancient tower to advice the inhabitants from the pirates. From here the view is amanzing, the pic U see above is from the top of this tower. Also U have a wonderfull view of both the Pollenca and Alcudia ports, with it's beaches and transparent water.

The other option U'll have is to continue the road and about 5km after U'll get to Formentor beach, with it's 4 stars hotel. Keep going and 10km ahead U'll get to the end of the island. There is a lighthouse and nothing more...only sea...beatifull sea. Some times, if the day is really good, U can see from this point the Menorca Island, the second island on size in Balearic Islands.
