Manacor, 50km from Palma, is well known by it's pearl factory Majorica. Now days the production is reducing a little bit but the quality still reigns. THe town is not like other ancient towns in Majorca. It has a small historic center with some buildings like the gothical church, some walls remainings, a monastery and some manor houses.
The Manacor municipality is considered the be the 3rd in number of inhabitants after Palma and Calvia. Because of these there are some other places full of activities and places to go. Some are: Porto Cristo, Felanitx and Porto Colom. Don't forget to visit the caves, Ham Cave and the most famous Drach Cave. Both of them located in the surroundings of Porto Cristo.
The variety of its landscape, which includes the inland areas of Mallorca's Es Pla district, the Llevant Mountains and the coastal area of la Marina. There are some beatiful calas with amanzing beaches awarded with blue flags in the sea shore, Cala Murada, Cala Mallorca, Cala Anguila, Cala Mendia and some others. So if U want a day in the beach, Manacor and it calas should be in your plans.
