My good friend who has submitted many of his photographs on my page lives in San Francisco. I visit there a couple times a year as it is only 350 miles away. I can choose plane, train or automobile to get there. Compared to LA this city is a lot prettier and cleaner. There's just as much to do as well. More culture exists here than I think does in LA. The history of this city and area extends through three different empires, The Spanish, Mexican and our own. Outside the actual city there is the gorgeous bay area and if you go north to Marin County you have the wide open spaces of Muir Woods. It has a nice transportation district called the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit), which is a god send when you see the traffic. You can get by in this town without a car even if you live across the bay. Stay tuned, as every time I visit I have new pictures to post. |
