You should stop by this palace, it's definately a nice place to see history and beautiful architecture of the famous dynasty of the French royals. Look in the travel logues to see more pictures.

Off The Beaten Path: Gothic castles

In a suburb north of Paris called 'Oise' there is a castle that Napoleon III had rebuilt that was from the 15th century by the name of Pierrefonds. It is really pretty and been restored masterfully. It is a fine example of French Renassaince architecture. To ge there take the A1 motorway from Paris and exit Compiegne Sud. Signs will be around from there on. These kinds of castles are scattered throughout the countryside of France.
