I came back from Bodrum-Turkey while ago and wanted to give you a short view from my visit there.

The agean coast is really beautiful, I was impressed of all the sailing-ships, especially in the harbour from Bodrum.

Bodrum with flowers..

Bodrum itself was a little bit too crowded with tourists (from my opinion) ...but I liked it anyway.
We visited the castle of Bodrum and walked through the streets where many street vendors are selling a lot of stuff-tourist stuff.

As we wanted to have some relaxing days on a beach (Bodrum itself does not have any) we booked our accomodation in Yashi-Ortakent, which is 14 kms away on the coast....and we were right to do that ...as you will see in my Yashi-Ortakent Page!

Pros and Cons

Pros:a beautiful place with lot's of bars and options for night-life
Cons:too crowded with tourists
In a nutshell:do not book your accomodation in Bodrum itself, if you want to relax on a beautiful beach

well..Bodrum is ideal for nite-life lovers :-) If you are looking for a quite beach 2 get rest.i suggest you u go Marmaris in September ;-)

Lovely photo of the fortress in the harbor... I missed this part of Turkey when I was there -- will have to get there next time. Cheers !
