El Salvador is the centralamerican country that is least developed for tourism (there was for instance not a single postcard to find). That does not have to be bad but it makes it a bigger challange. An example of this was at a small beach town called San Diego outside La Libertad. There was a nice, long white sand beach but hardly any accomadation. When we finaly found one it was really bad and they did not have a restaurant and the problem with that was that there was not any other restaurant around either. The positive things was the Cerro Verde nationalpark with its volcano Santa Ana and the nearby lake Coatepeque which was very beautifull. |
