Lucerne is the only place in Switzerland which I know for quite a long time now because I go there frequently as one of my parent's oldest friends, Kari, is living there with his family. This is the view from Kari's new apartement in Meggen, a small village just 5 min outside of Lucerne (going to Küssnacht) with the breathtaking view of "Vierwaldstättersee" (the lake) and the mountains in the south. Lucerne has an excellent location to discover the central part of Eastern Switzerland (the German speaking part) and itself is a beautiful highlight among the many Swiss sights.

Have you been to Lake Lucerne? It is a beautiful lake ten minutes walk from town - fantastic to row on, whilst being accompanied by the gentle ring of cow bells - very picturesque!!
