My trip to Lisbon was booked just 4 days before I actually left. It was February and I had holidays and the snow conditions in Austria have not been so good as I hoped. That was when I decided to look for some pre-spring days somewhere in Europe. I asked some friends in Vienna what I should do and see and the internet helped me to find a good accomodation which I booked beforehand. And then I boarded my flight and some hours later I arrived in Portugal.

And I was so lucky that I really found myself in pleasant warm Lisbon with a fabulous blue sky and an exciting city to be explored in the next few days. Fortuantely I found some company rather quickly as well: on the one hand I got to know Pablo, a Madrileño, and I also met with my study colleague Karin and her family (not by accident, we arranged something in the first place!). Together with Pablo I also went to a few places around Lisbon, like Estoril, Cascais, Sintra or Cabo da Roca (also see my Portugal page her on VT!).
