For some years now my family was thinking and planning a trip as a whole family once again. Finally we agreed on Madrid as it was the only bigger city in Europe none of us has ever been to. And you may believe me that it was rather a challenge to get the five of us and a girlfriend into the same boat... never I'd do the organisation again (well, maybe I would, because it is cheaper that way...)!
The day we arrived in Madrid was a bright sunny and warm one in late March. The taxidriver from the airport was a friendly but obviously sly guy (he charged us 25 Euros!!!) and introduced us the Spanish capital in a rather fast way. I used my Spanish the first time since school and was devasteted about what was left of it. Nevertheless I made the experience that the Spaniards are such communicative and tolerant people that it didnÂ’t matter.
