I am a 25-year-old guy from Austria. I moved to Gmunden, in Upper Austria, in the summer '04, after living in Vienna for 7 years. Gmunden is not big city at all, but nevertheless a very good place to live for a while.

I started the New Year 2005 with a breathtaking winter holiday in Haute Savoye, France. I stayed at a chalet with friends in Combloux and during the days we explored the icy world of the Massif du Mont Blanc on skis....

In September '04 my last road trip brought me to a very interesting area of Europe: the Baltics. Flying into Vilnius, Lithuania, then further on to Riga, Latvia and finally making it to Tallinn in Estonia. Then I took a ferry to Helsinki, where flewback home again! Those countries are indeed a hidden secret within 2-h-flying time from almost everywhere in Europe....

In June '04 I travelled to Oz again, this time to the West Coast (Perth to Darwin) and to the Red Centre and, of course, to Sydney! It was the most rewarding tour through Australia so far. I can only say: GO TO WESTERN AUSTRALIA!!!! This state is full of well kept secrets and surprises like Karijini NP, the Ningaloo Reef or the Purnululu NP (better known as the Bungle Bungles).

My next favourite destinations is Malaysia. I will be going back to this beautiful country for many times, that's for sure!

In Europe, it is much harder to say what I like best. My favourite cities are Hamburg, London and Barcelona.

For Petra, a study colleague and friend, we all got together to make photos at all our uni locations... This is me "lecturing" at the lecture hall of the Institute of Anatomy. This day was great fun indeed...!!!!
