<font color = blue><B>Jim Morrison</B></font>, lead singer of the Doors, was arrsted here in New Haven, it has been referenced in the song 'Peace Frog' <i>Blood in the streets in the town of New Haven...'</i> and even managed to make it into the Oliver Stone movie <u>The Doors</u>. Never mind that Mr. Stone got the year wrong, it was 1967, not 1968.

Ok, I've heard this before, mostly from my English friends - the city is pronounced New <font color = blue><B>HA</B></font>ven, not <font color = blue><B>New</B></font> Haven. That's ok if you get it wrong a few times, nobody will bite you!

Just be prepared for one thing...

Just be prepared for one thing in New Haven - pizza. It seems that there is a pizzeria on every corner. It's probably from the large number of people who came to the area from Italy (there seems to be a large number of people from Naples - myself included!), but we are truly blessed to have such great numbers of excellent, tasty and very inexpensive pizza around.<BR>
For some reason, the major chains (Dominos, Pizza Hut, etc) have managed to open up branches here, I can't understand why, they are just as expensive as the locals, and not nearly as good.<BR>
I've listed only a few establishments that serve up our hometown obsession, but just about any local place will be good, and they will almost always offer full dinners as well, with bread, salad and a glass of wine, they are hard to beat for both value and quality.
