  • I actually don't have a favorite restaurant, but rather a favorite street that is full of restaurants. And that would be Brick Lane. The closest tube stops are Liverpool Street, Aldgate or Aldgate East. Brick Lane is know for the abundance of Indian restaurants, and they are all very good.
If You have never had Indian food before, don't think that it is all overly spicy and hot. While it is true that some dishes can be quite hot (such as Vindaloo), there are a number of dishes that are not very hot, or even mild, such as korma or tikka masala.

  • Well, I was walking around Covent Garden area when I came across this restaurant, and how could I resist - Jonathan's. And no, they do not give you a discount if your name is Jonathan, I've already asked.
Well, first off, it's name is very cool! But it also has a great decor, good location and a very nice menu.

Favorite Dish: I had the Penne Arrabbiata, but everything looked very good, and judging by the quality of what I had, I'm sure everything is good.

  • Having read all the stories, I naturally had to visit The Sherlock Holmes Pub.
Good draft ales, located right near Trafalgar Square / Charing Cross Station, and a replica of Holmes' sitting room upstairs.

Favorite Dish: I had the Shepherd's Pie

  • Giraffe is a great restaurant, not just for the name! It barely makes the list because there are 4 of them, so it's almost a chain.
Cool world music playing, great decor and lots of giraffes - wooden, paintings etc. make this a nice place.

Favorite Dish: There is a chalkboard that lists the daily specials, but most things here are good.

  • Restaurant Name: Market Porter

The Market Porter is located right across from Borough market - surprise, surprise, eh?

But this is one of the best pubs in London for it's real ales, decor and opening hours (06:00!!!!).

Cheak it out, it's worth a stop in for quick 'un.

Favorite Dish: Real ales change every week, so that's the best part.
