I worked here as a Camp Counselor in a summer camp. The only way to get to the camp was by boat crossing the entire Lake Placid. During Indian Summer it probably is one of the most impressing places to be. Unfortunately I was there from July to August so that I missed this experience. Nevertheless, there are many outdoor activities you can do. Climbing the mountains, water skiing, swimming, driving a motor boat, or just visiting the Olympic sites of 1980.
