    • This old hotel is a great place to be after a hectic night in winter. They serve a good buffet of soups in a fancy restaurant. The building is and but well maintained one.

    Unique Qualities: The hotel is in a walking distance to Teatro Municipal, Praça da República and other atractions downtown. But be careful if you pretend to walk around during the night. The closest metro station (Republica), a block ahead, is very busy during the day, but many people report robberies around at night. Vieira de Carvalho st., itself, is a very nice place.

    • This is the most luxurious and one of the most expensives hotels in the city. It was recently built in addition to a traditional italian restaurante, serving one of the best food in the city. Not for everyone.

    Unique Qualities: The building is fantastique and the restaurant is something really special, considered by The Economist magazine the "smartiest and priciest "in town. The room are equiped with flat TVs, DVD, light controled remotely and is finely decorated. A member of the Leading Hotels of the World.

    • It's a modern hotel, in a nice neighborhood. The rooms are spacious and well equiped.

     I like the aerial view. I flew over SP in October on my way to Buenos Aires.I may visit SP as a side trip from Rio this September. How is the waether in Sept - I know is hot nonstop. Any rains?
