Formerly the capital of China, many people, particularly overseas Chinese still believe it to be the capital. Nanjing meaning 'Southern Capital' stands as a direct foil to the 'Northern Capital, Beijing. It is a prosperous city, benefiting from being so close to Shanghai and the Yangtze River.
There are so many shopping malls in Xinjiekou, but they all sell the same things so its not as exciting as it may sound!
A quick trivia quiz..name the three longest rivers in the world!!!! Answers to the Nanjing homepage please! |
