I will be visiting next weekend June 2nd - 4th with a tour group where I will be the tour leader.I am very excited, not so much about going back to Xi'an as I didn't like it the first time I was there back in 1999, but more for the fact that I am going to be a tour leader! It should be fun! We will be catching the train down on Friday 2nd evening, arriving Saturday morning and leaving Sunday evening back to Beijing by plane. And I'm going to try and get as much info as possible whilst Im there to make a super duper Xi'an page! I won't be focusing so much on all the facts as everyone seems to have accomplished that already..I'll be looking out for the funny and quirky things happening around me!

I have a wonderful guide in Xi'an called Mr Liu. A young guy in his mid 20s who is very knowledgeable about his hometown. I am not advertising anything and do not get any commission out of this, but am writing his email address here in case anyone wants to contact him as I am always asked about guides in Xi'an.

So how did the tour go? I had a friend from Xian. she had never eaten fish and never would: loved meat dumplings though.
A serious photo of Banpo Neolithic Village? Perhaps only if you're an anthropologist. I look forward to your "funny and quirky things" here in the future and will actually be in Xi'an on August 30!
