If you would like an introduction to the Caribbean islands, St. Martin is a good place to start. The island offers accomodations, dining and shopping for those with a small or big budget. It's close proximity to Anguilla and St. Barths makes it a prime spot to visit its neighboring islands for a day or overnight trip. The beaches are nice and there are 37 to choose from. One of the prettiest and longest is Baie Longue in front of La Samana resort.
