I was born in Finland and have lived off and on there until March 2001, when I decided to move permanently out of the country. Finland has been good to me, but it was time to move on and start something new - again.

Things I like about in Finland

Our summer house

Taking the distance from Finland has enabled me really to appreciate certain qualities, that I took for granted before.

These things would be the peaceful and quiet pace of life, especially in the countryside.

Space that you will find around you, be in your habitat, nature or the sheer distances.

Certain straightforwardness when communicating with others: sometimes you just don't have to speak with thousand words, when you can say it just with a few (mind you, Finnish language does have some of the longest words in the world:))
