Tourist Trap: Watch where you walk!...
  • Tip Rating:
  • Watch where you walk! Austrians have lots of dogs and if you don't want to clean your shoes all the time.. walk carefully.

Tourist Trap: Wrong subway station! He..he.....
  • Tip Rating:
  • Wrong subway station! He..he.. We learned that we can't just cross the railway to go to the other side. I must read the map carefully to take the right subway from the right station. :)

Tourist Trap: Hmm.. sad to say that I don't...
  • Tip Rating:
  • Hmm.. sad to say that I don't speak German. My Japanese friend speaks German and she helped us a lot. Although English is not a favorite language there, I think there should be at least sign/instruction in English for tourists.
One woman yelled at my friend when she asked if that woman could speak English 'DO I HAVE TO SPEAK ENGLISH?'. Well, this is a very nice city, but not knowing what to get there is very frustrating. Like the menu.. I think it should be a brief explanation in English.

Oh gross! Don't they have some kind of law about that?

20% tipping is really unusual here.. usually you give 10% or round up. If the bill is higher (>€100) you should also round up, but don´t need to give 10%

Um, tipping 20% in Vienna is quite excessive. It's 5 - 10%, usually.
