My husband and I are on a 1 year RTW trip. We left on March 5, 2001. We have a website to document our travels ...we also "rate" accomodations as we go (with a pig and cockroach rating system - 4 pigs is highest rating). I hope you find our website helpful - finding a decent place to stay (backpacker budget), what to do and see, etc..

So far, we have been to: Fiji, New Zealand, Australia, Bali, Java, Thailand, and Laos. We've got another 5-6 months ...we'll be going to Nepal, Cambodia, Singapore, South Africa, and Europe.

If you've recently been to any of the countries we'll be going to, I'd appreciate any advice you could give me on accomodations, etc..
