What to choose for an opening photo?

I made hundreds of photo's in Bucharest during many long walks. What to choose? A building? A street scene? Food? For now this is it: two old ladies in front of a church (well, I know, you can't see that) where they've probably just lit a candle and prayed for relatives, dead or alive.
It's the contrast between the ladies, obviously not wealthy, and the Mercedes in the background that sums up a bit of what Romania is about. On the verge of exploding into a western European standard of living but not quite there yet.

The city is awash with beautiful old architecture that gives a distinct elegance, be it rundown and not too well maintained. But there is a lot of building and restoring going on.

    Good start with the restaurants. Garlic and peppers--my type of food. looking forward to seeing this page grow since there doesn't seem to be all that much about Romania on VT.

    Great food tips. But with those prices, shouldn't they be in Warnings & Dangers section? Looking forward to read more - that reflection photo is promising :-)
