Water tower

Brickwork

Archive

The space between the water basin and the outer wall is used as an archive.

a window

Part of the outside wall has been broken away to make a window and let in some light. The diagonal shape on the right is the bottom of the water basin.

The water basin

The water basin can now be used for parties up to some 50-70 people. True, it looks bleak and no windows but it's an unusual space to decorate and party in.

Meeting room

You can hire the top floor of the water tower which is a meeting room and can hold some 20 people. Includes kitchen and toilet and a grand terrace overlooking Alkmaar and beyond. Truly impressive.
